Putting the “I” in team

It has been said that “there is no ‘I’ in team.” Perhaps that is true when playing sports, but certainly not when people watch sports. Even non sports fans become proprietary of teams and athletes during the Olympics.

Listen closely to the way people refer to a win or a loss. It says a lot about the way we think about our teams.
